The Basics I'm a 21 year old senior at a small private college in North Carolina. I hail from Memphis. And currently I'm in ITALY studying abroad. That's right, be jealous!

I was studying to be an actress, but I think I've decided that managing a theatre is the cool thing to do. And I want to be a photographer, but I have to become artsy first.

The FavoritesI don't really have a favorite color. I do enjoy a deep crimson red, like blood. I also enjoy most shades of blue. And there's always something to be said for black. I like most kinds of music, but my favorite right now is the soundtrack to Avenue Q. And Billy Joel. I love having intellectual conversations with people about religion, philosophy, politics, etc. Yes, I really am that big of a dork. Not a big tv fan. Movies are ok.

BoysMy boyfriend's name is Alex. We've been going out for two years, off and on. We go to school together, but we live 8 hours apart, so when school's not in session, we are forced to do the long distance relationship thing, and IT SUCKS!!! He's my second serious boyfriend, and we have our problems like every other couple, but I love him. He wants to marry me. I'm leaning towards yes. He hasn't proposed yet, so we'll see.

LoveLove is important to me. I don't really believe in love at first sight. Rather, I believe in lust at first sight. I mean, think about it, you see a hot guy and you "love" him. You get to know him, and you either realize he's scum and find some other guy, or realize he's great and you want to marry him. Why is one love at first sight, but not the other? But I digress. I don't believe in divorce. They are nessecary in some cases, but nowadays people feel like they have no obligations for anything. If you marry someone, then you are committed to that person and you should try your hardest to make it work.

RandomI have a slight obsession with Asia. Middle East especially. In fact, my room has an Oriental theme. I also speak Chinese. Well, some. I took it for 2 years, so I can carry on a conversation and write a few characters. Actually, I'm better at recognizing characters rather than writing them. I also love bellydancing. I took formal lessons for over a year, and now I only do it when I have time. Oh, and I have one more obsession (well, other than my boyfriend) and that is the roaring 20's. And the 30's and 40's as well, but they weren't roaring. I think women then were so beautiful, and you know they had to be strong, going through the despression and all. And I love the music. And Marilyn. I love Marilyn Monroe.

In my head Hate is never a good thing. I am trying to eradicate hate and all bad thoughts from my life because it is not healthy (see the movie What the Bleep Do We Know!? It's amazing). I am trying to do this with religion, except I don't really have one. I was raised Catholic. I wanted to convert to some other religion when I was younger. But after a lot of soul-searching I decided that Catholicism was the best thing for me. However, I just finished a World Religons class, and I discovered many things about Jesus that the Christian religion fails to mention. So now I doubt the divinity of Christ, and I don't really know what religion I want to follow. Each has something about them that I admire. I make my own religion with a little bit of each religion thrown in. If you have any suggestions, I'd love to talk about it.

My BeliefsWell, despite my religious doubts, I actually have pretty strong morals and values. I don't do drugs. I rarely drink, and when I do, I don't get drunk. Premarital sex is ok, but not before the age of 16, and even then I think you're pushing it. And don't talk to me about being mature. When I was 14, I thought I was so mature for my age. Looking back, I realize I was still a kid. Kids don't need to have sex or do drugs. I also believe in a lot of superstitious stuff, like ghosts and angels and whatnot. Never had a sighting though. Don't really want to. I also think tarot cards are cool. I got mine read by my teacher. It was freakishly true. Oh, and I believe in equality, too. Even for the gays.
